Email Forwarding To activate the redirection of all emails for a particular domain to one common email address, you should enter the recipients email address in the field. They will then receive all mails sent to any address in the selected domain. URL Forward The first step of URL forwarding is to tell the Eurodns system that you want to enable the feature for the selected domain. To do this, simply click on the Activate URL Forwarding button The next step requires you to enter the URL of the domain you wish to forward to. Enter the the URL without the http:// and click the confirm button. If the procedure was successful, you should see the above appear on your screen. As mentioned in the text above, you should allow 15 minutes for the URL forwarding to become fully active. If you check back in your URL forwarding section for the domain, you will see the original URL and the URL it is being forwarded to. To set a new URL click the modify button. If you want to de-activate URL forwarding, simply click on the 'De-activate URL Forwarding' button. DNS Configuration DNS Configuration enables you to add a new mail server or to add a new hostname for the selected domain. To read more about each item, click on the 'more info' above. When setting up a new mail server, you have 2 options. The first is to enter the IP address or host name of an existing mail server as a 'Fully Qualified Domain Name'. Please make sure when you enter this, that it ends with a full-stop, otherwise it will not work. The second way to specify a mail server is to create one for the selected domain e.g. 24translate.be You will just need to enter the name of the mailserver in the text field. You do not need to terminate with a punctuation mark. The next step will require you to 'Add a New Host' for the mail server domain. e.g. to have a mail server called 'mailserver.24translate.be' you would have to create a host name called 'mailserver' and specify the IP address of the server which will be used as the mail server for this domain. To add a new hostname to the selected domain, enter the desired name in the 'Host Name' field. You must then enter the IP address of the server which will be used for the Host Name you entered. The example in the screenshot above could be used to point the domain name 'intranet.24translate.be' to an internal webserver with IP address 80.92.65.21 To enable dynamic DNS for a selected domain, click on the 'activate' button under the DynDNS column. When DynDNS has been activated for a domain, an icon will appear next to it. When you launch your EuroDnyDNS application on the machine(s) to be used as the server, you need to login with your Eurodns details. A list of dyndns enabled domains will be displayed in the application window. To deactivate the service, simply click on the the deactivate button or stop running the service/application on the server machine. |
